MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Manages all resources cost-efficiently, complying with all Company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements (Health & Safety, BRC, HACCP) Ensures that manufacturing activities are in accordance with GMPs, HSE & EHO requirements, etc. Identifies revenue & capital spend as required to optimise operational performance & cost base. Ensures the quality of all manufactured goods – internal rejects, scrap levels, customer complaints & returns - to meet customer requirements Ensures KPI’s targets are met and correctly recorded for production & processing Measures, records, identifies, and tracks rejects, work in progress, scrap, efficiency, line impacts, right first time. Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental requirements. Responsible for establishing clear operational and project goals and performance measures for each direct report, providing information for KPI’s in support of the stated business objectives. Measure operational performance of key productivity indicators on an on-going basis providing coaching and corrective measures as required. Instigate investigation into day-to-day variances from plan, i.e. safety, quality, waste or output variances from expectations and devise and implement corrective action plans Ensure that all critical business and manufacturing processes are formally documented, and documentation is compliant with the McCormick Quality System, BRC and key customer requirements. Establish and maintain key indicator trends, issue timely period summary reports and take corrective action as necessary. Establish continuous process improvement activities involving wider team to support a leaner, more effective operational platform Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and process control sheets in compliance with Quality Management Systems Ensure a formal GMP programme is in place, recorded and adhered to including training for all food handlers. Ensure internal audits are carried out and corrective actions carried out in a timely basis. Ensure strict adherence to all allergen controls and policies. Participate in customer visits and presentations as required. Prepare monthly performance reports, which include all Key Productivity and Financial Indicators. To be able to support and develop a factory culture where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo. Support and implement change processes in the department in line with McCormick values.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Graduate from Mechanical or Electric& Electronic Engineering Good organisational skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead and motivate people Numerate with the ability to analyse and present basic statistical data Ability to present and demonstrate the production process to external contacts e.g. customers Technical skills/knowledge in specific area Exposure to/understanding/knowledge of the principles of Total Quality Management/ World Class Manufacturing Key computer skills Work well in a team environment
