Position Overview:
In this position, you will be a part of the newly established team that will lead the development of the next generation of our Intra Aortic balloon pump. You will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions that meet the required system functionality and performance. Collaborating with highly skilled colleagues from various disciplines to tackle complex interdisciplinary challenges and come up with innovative solutions. Maintaining the highest software quality standards requires performing risk analysis and addressing challenges. Additionally, you take the lead in the decision-making process regarding software implementation, determining the best solutions to deliver the required system functionality and performance. The team will be led from Solna, Sweden but team members will collaborate from both US and India.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
Extensive experience as a Software Architect or Senior Software Engineer, ideally within the medical technology or related field.Proven ability to make critical technical decisions and thrive in high-expectation environments.
Interest in advanced healthcare and a desire to contribute to products in intensive care and anesthesiology.
The customer-centric mindset with experience collaborating closely with customers and users to understand their needs through user studies and evaluations.
Effective collaboration within cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, testers, and more.
Safety-critical experience, preferably in healthcare, emphasizing functionality and reliability.
Proactive attitude towards learning and contributing to the continued development of products, staying ahead of fierce global competition.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.Several years of experience with software development.
Expertise in designing complex systems within a regulated environment.
Familiarity with product development in the medical technology field is desirable.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Basic fluency in Swedish.
