About the role
Responsible to prepare optimized rosters and overseeing and optimizing all processes related to roster planning and leave planning, ensure efficient manpower distribution between all business units based on agreed engagement standards and approved budget in order to produce Rosters that meets Operational demands, shall be responsible to enhance and develop manual processes and optimize roster planning for approximately 3000 staff under Hub.

Key accountabilities include:
Work closely with Rostering Manager in order to ensure that all business units’ staffs are rostered efficiently according to operational requirements and as per HR policy and company strategical direction.
Manages, plans and performs all resource planning activities for Qatar Airways Doha Hub focusing on the strategic direction and meeting the operational objectives, goals and expected performance levels defined by Hub management
Provides short, mid and long term manpower demands projections, capacity analysis, efficiency optimization and contingency planning.
Ensure manpower is distributed within all business units based on the agreed engagement standards and approved budget in order to fulfil operational demands.
Responsible to process roster planning using the necessary tools from RMS planning system in order to meet monthly manpower demands based on the updated flight schedule.
Coordinate with IT with regards to enhancement and implementation required to rostering and leave system in order to achieve latest business requirements.
Provide analytical and statistical data of roster coverage using the necessary tools from systems.
Coordinate and maintain constructive meetings with Ops management in order to provide solutions and overcome challenges.
Provide workable plans and document all processes followed by the rostering Team in order to eliminate duplication of work and redundant processes.
Update and maintain roster systems and leave system with the required data in order to produce efficient rosters and leave planning.
Plan and maintain rosters for Hub leaders across all business units in order to ensure that operational leaders are rostered efficiently and available based on the requirements.
Anticipate rush periods and special events and ensure that optimized manpower is planned and available in order to fulfil the latest Operational requirements.
Provide continuous analysis and shift study improvement using the necessary tools in place in order to optimize the usage of manpower according to the latest rules and regulations.

About you
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level
Minimum 4 years relevant experience
Similar role or function within Airline or Aviation Industry.
Extensive experience in manpower planning and rostering.
Experience in preparing multi-level rosters for a large work force would be an added advantage.
Job Specific Skills
Ability to provide high level analysis and proficient with Microsoft excel.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with various business units.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate building a positive working relationship with all stakeholders
Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
Excellent sense of creativity.
Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Potentially able to adapt to different system usage and ability to develop them based on the requirements.
Good knowledge of RMS modules and good understanding of rostering and resource planning methods in addition to high capacity of analytic skills.
